How to Buy your House

Under the Right to Buy scheme, you can buy your home at a price lower than the full market value. This is because the time you have spent as a tenant entitles you to a discount.

This is a summary of the law relating to the Right to Buy. It is not intended to be comprehensive. If you wish to exercise your Right to Buy, it is recommended that you seek independent legal and financial advice about your individual circumstances and to help with the legal process of buying a home (you may wish to send your legal advisor a copy of this booklet). You should also seek independent financial advice about the different types of mortgage that are available.

For detailed information please click here Right to Buy for a copy of the explanatory booklet which the Government has produced. To see a copy of A1 Housing Right to Buy Booklet then Click A1RTB.
