Why should I get involved?

Why should I get involved?

The more people who get involved with A1 Housing the better we can be. Ultimately this means everyone will get a better service.

We need the input of our tenants to keep improving and you are vital to our success. We've heard plenty of reasons from people why they can't get involved, do you recognise any of these?

I don't know enough to get involved

For many of the ways to be involved, all you need is your opinion on our services and to tell us what you think is good or bad. If we think you need training we can arrange it, but this is only usually needed for roles like Tenant Inspectors.

I can't afford to go to a meeting

We will pay reasonable transport costs or arrange for transport to our meetings so you are not out of pocket.

I can't go because I've got kids

If you have children you can still be involved, we will pay for any childcare costs or, if there is enough demand, we can look at providing crèche facilities at a meeting venue. We can also arrange for meetings to be held during school hours.

I can't come because I've got to look after a sick or elderly relative

We will pay your expenses for someone else to provide care while you are out.

I don't think I'll understand what is going on

We present information in a jargon free and customer friendly style. We can also provide hearing loop systems and information in different formats, for example, large print.

Getting involved is easy and you can decide your own level of involvement. Visit our contacts page to get in touch with us or fill in the form on our How to get involved page.
