To report a repair:

- Check Advice below.
- Report your repair by sending an e-mail to housing.repairs@a1housing.co.uk.
Your responsibilities
- Decorating walls and ceilings inside your home. See Advice below.
- Repairing minor cracks and holes in walls and ceilings.
- Putting up television or radio aerials, or satellite dishes on the outside of the property. However, you must get our permission in writing before you do this.
- Keeping air vents clear.
- Putting up and repairing shelves, curtain rails and battens, coat hooks etc.
- Replacing tiles around basins and sinks.
Advice
- Try to keep condensation to a minimum to prevent damp and mould on the walls or ceiling. For advice on controlling condensation, see Condensation.
- If you, a member of your family or a visitor to your home cause damage, we expect you to get it repaired yourself.
- If water leaking causes damage, you may be able to make a claim on your home contents insurance. See Home contents insurance in What you must do.
We need to know
- What is the problem, eg: wall plaster loose or crumbling; ceiling plaster bulging; condensation or mould on walls or ceiling?
- Is there any damage caused by water leaking, such as a pipe or radiator?
- What is the extent of the problem?
- If outside, what type of wall surface is it: render, upvc boards, timberboards or hanging tiles or slates?
- Are there any other connected problems?
