Our service hours
Our offices are open 8am to 5pm. Outside these hours we only handle calls for emergency repairs.
When you report a repair:
- we may need to inspect the problem before it can be passed to a repair operative
- if you report an emergency repair, please remain in your home until the repair operative arrives. If you exaggerate the urgency of a problem to get a quicker response, you will be charged for the call-out fee
- outside office hours we will only respond to emergency problems
- you will be charged for the cost of repairing any damage that you cause, or for any repairs that cannot be regarded as fair wear and tear or are your responsibility. See Responsibilities.
When work is going to be done in your home:
- repair operatives or contractors working on our behalf must not, under any circumstances, ask for payment for work they are doing in your home. If you are asked for payment, please contact us immediately
- if any furniture needs to be moved, you should remove as much as you can before repair operatives arrive. They are willing to help you with larger items and carpets but they can accept no responsibility for any damage
- you are expected to make arrangements that allow repair operatives to get on with their work, eg keeping children and pets out of the way
- repair operatives should not be left alone in your home
- repair operatives cannot, for their own safety, work at height, eg on ladders, scaffolding or the roof in bad weather conditions
- for certain individuals or households we can arrange for a Tenant Liaison Officer to be present when a repair is carried out in their home.
