Baths and basins
To report a repair:

- Check Advice below.
- Report your repair by sending an e-mail to housing.repairs@a1housing.co.uk.
Your responsibilities
- Cleaning baths, sinks, basins and descaling shower heads.
- Clearing blocked baths, basins, sinks. See Clearing a blocked waste.
- Replacing plugs and chains to baths, basins and sinks.
- Repairing any items you have installed yourself, eg shower, extra tiles.
- Replacing individual tiles around basins and sinks.
Advice
- For water leaks, blockages or tap problems, see Drains and wastes and Pipes and taps.
- A blocked waste is not an emergency. You are expected to clear any blocked baths, basins or sinks yourself. See Clearing a blocked waste.
- We will charge you for the cost of clearing blockages caused by items such as nappies or toys.
- If you, a member of your family or a visitor to your home cause damage, we expect you to get it repaired yourself.
- If the wastepipe is blocked, do not use it until it has been cleared.
- If we need to replace bathroom fittings which are part of a suite we will try to achieve a colour match.
We need to know
- What is the problem, eg: bathroom fittings loose or broken; wastepipe leaking or blocked; splashback wall tiles cracked or broken?
- If a panel: is it the side or the end? What is it made of: plastic or hardboard?
- If a bath or basin: what is it made of: plastic or porcelain?
