Servicing Your Gas Appliances
To ensure that your
gas central heating system is operating correctly we are legally
bound, under the current Gas regulations, to carry out a safety
check on your heating system once ever year. All gas boilers and or
gas fires within your property will be serviced, as we must ensure
that they are all operating, as they should and are not in a
condition that may affect your health and safety.

How long will the servicing take?
Each service will vary depending on the amount
of work required, however, we estimate that the work should be
completed within 40 to 50 minutes.
What repairs will we carry out?
- A1 Housing offers a 24-hour, 365 day a year repairs service for
emergency gas heating repairs.
- Non-Urgent repairs to your gas heating will be carried out on
an appointment system.
- Our gas team are dedicated in providing a top class service to
ensure you have an efficient and safe gas central heating
system.

What should I do as a tenant?
As a tenant you must ensure access is available
for annual servicing of appliances when notified that our engineer
will be calling. Failure to do so may lead to your gas supply being
disconnected until the appliance/s have been serviced. It is vital
that we gain access to your home to undertake your yearly gas
service.
Gas health and safety
When gas is used correctly and with respect it
is a safe and economical fuel. To make sure you and your family
remain safe from the possible dangers of gas, ensure appliances are
checked for safety annually by an A1 Housing Gas
Safe Registered Service Engineer.
