A1 Housing Partnerships

 

Starting on 14th November 2005, A1 Housing will be working in partnership with 2 main contractors to deliver home improvements to A1 tenants. This will start with adaptation works for tenants with disabilities. The main capital works will commence in 2006, with Connaught and Bullock Construction.

Connaughts will be based at the main A1 offices at Carlton Forest,Hundred Acre Lane, Worksop and can be contacted via the A1 Housing call centre.


Bullock Construction Bullock was founded in 1955 and is now a leader in the social housing regeneration market. They operate from four regions covering the East Midlands, West Midlands, the North West and the North East.  Currently Bullock is involved in 24 other “decent homes” partnering contracts for Local Authorities & ALMOs.

They are one of the three constructor partners for Ashfield Homes who in October this year became the first ALMO to complete their programme.  They are also working for other ALMOs including Newark & Sherwood Homes, Nottingham City Homes, Wigan & Leigh Housing, Leeds West Homes, Leeds South Homes, Leeds South-East Homes and Cheltenham Borough Homes.

Bullock are totally committed to establishing a local project delivery team for this programme, which will improve tenants’ homes in villages to the east of the A1.  They will set up a central warehouse and administration facility in Unit 11/12, Canalside Workshops, Leverton Road, Retford and this will be supported by locally based site offices where tenants will be able to meet their Tenant Liaison Officers who will be their main point of contact throughout the project.
