Bassetlaw District Council in partnership with East Midlands Landlords Accreditation Scheme (EMLAS) is working towards improving property standards in Bassetlaw in the private rented sector.
Membership to the scheme is FREE for 3 years if you apply for accreditation by 1st April 2012. The scheme is voluntary and is open to all landlords who own or manage property in Bassetlaw.
Landlords who want to become accredited will have to agree to the schemes Code of Management, which focuses on the management of the tenancy and the condition of the property. Most landlords will find that they are already doing this and more...
As part of the upcoming portfolio of local offers for accredited landlords in Bassetlaw, A1 Housing is now able to offer a free advertising service to private landlords and estate agents through our property shops based at Queen's Buildings, Worksop and Retford Town Hall.
Around 2,000 customers a month visit our property shops, many looking for suitable accommodation in the Bassetlaw area. At times, A1 Housing is not able to meet the high demand for rented properties and our staff will be happy to put potential tenants in touch with suitable landlords and estate agents who have properties for rent.
To qualify for this free service, Private Landlords must be members of either the East Midlands Landlords Accreditation Scheme (EMLAS), or any other recognized accreditation scheme.
To take advantage of this offer please contact Rob or Marie on 01777 713 887.
