A1's New Money Advisor
Laura Davies joined A1 in Summer 2009 to
help our residents make the most of their money by helping you to
change your habits and budget so that your money goes further.
Laura is carries out Pre-Tenancy
Financial Health Checks with our future tenants on the Housing
Waiting List, especially those who will be living independently for
the first time, to help make them aware of the costs of setting up
and running a home. Laura is also working with our
residents to ensure you are receiving all the benefits you are
entitled to.
As many people don’t have any savings
Laura encourages residents to save with the Worksop &
District Credit Union, or helps them open a basic bank
account. The advantages of saving with the Credit Union are:
- The more you save - the more you can borrow
- Young Savers (under 16) can join
- You can apply for a low interest loan
- You receive an annual dividend on your savings
- You get free Life Savings Insurance
If you have money worries and would
like free and confidential advice contact Laura on 01909 533744 for
an appointment. Laura will be happy to come and visit you at your
home to see what help and support we can give to you.
