Ways to pay your rent

Direct Debit
is an easy way to pay. Once set up you have nothing more to do to
ensure your payments are made on time. We offer 3 dates
each month 3rd, 10th and 18th. A Direct Debit
application form can be downloaded from heading. Change to
Direct Debit and receive a free £10 gift voucher, details on
the application form.

Internet by debit card
The service is currently provided by Alliance and
Leicester BillPay scheme on behalf of A1 Housing. You do not
need to hold a Girobank account. The service is available 24 hours
a day 365 days a year. To use the service you will need a
Delta, Visa Electron, Switch, Maestro, or Solo debit card.
Credit cards are not currently accepted by the
Billpay service but you can pay by credit card or debit card by
telephoning our automated phone line or in our Cash Halls (please
see below). Full details of how to use the BillPay service,
including registering as a new user, and importantly the assurance
that the latest encryption technology is used by Girobank, can be

Automatic Payment Line by debit / credit card
Pay by telephone on our special automatic payment line at a
time to suit you. Just telephone 01777 713864.
Unfortunately we cannot accept payments on SOLO cards or AMERICAN
EXPRESS.
Rent Payment Card
All tenants are issued with a rent payment card which
allows you to pay your rent in any Post Office or
PayPoint location as well as at the Cash
Halls in the Bassetlaw District Council Offices. The
rent payment card holds your rent payment reference number on the
magnetic strip and ensures that your payment is automatically sent
to your rent account. If you pay by rent payment card you
will receive a receipt for your payment.

You can pay by cash, cheque, debit or credit
card at the Cash Halls. Please bring your rent payment card to
ensure we can handle your payment efficiently. Unfortunately
we cannot accept payments on SOLO cards or AMERICAN EXPRESS.
PLEASE NOTE THAT RENT PAYMENTS MADE THROUGH THE INTERNET, POST
OFFICE OR PAYPOINT MAY TAKE UP TO 7 DAYS TO REACH US. PLEASE
ENSURE THAT PAYMENTS MADE BY THESE METHODS WILL GET TO US BY THEIR
DUE DATE.
