A little more RESPECT
Thursday 10th November 2011
A1 Housing and Bassetlaw District Council have shown their commitment to tackling and dealing with anti-social behaviour by signing up to the new 'Respect' - ASB Charter for Housing.
The standard was created by the Chartered Institute of Housing (CIH), Social Landlords Crime and Nuisance Group and Housemark to replace the original respect standard that was introduced by the Government in 2006.
A1 Housing Managing Director, Bernard Coleman said: "A1 Housing does not tolerate anti-social behaviour.
"Signing up to the charter means Bassetlaw District Council and A1 Housing working in partnership is making a commitment to give the best possible service when dealing with ASB and maintain our high standards. It also means we will work with you to tackle ASB in your community and take swift action when we are able to."
The charter was signed at this year's A1 Housing annual general meeting by Mark Ladyman (Director of Community Services for Bassetlaw District Council), Mike Bowskill (A1 Housing Chair), Cllr Alan Rhodes (Cabinet Member for Housing) and Bernard Coleman.
Cllr Rhodes added: "Anti-social behaviour can have a serious impact on tenants and resident's quality of life and we won't tolerate it in our communities. Signing up to the Charter shows our commitment to tackling the issue, but I would urge the public to play their part by reporting all incidents occurring within their area or community".
