In implementing the Freedom of Information Act A1 Housing Bassetlaw Ltd will aim to promote an understanding of the work of the ALMO and foster a spirit of trust and co-operation with the public by:
Providing clear and timely information about the way that it makes decisions, its policies and procedures through its publication scheme;
Dealing with individual requests for information by providing clear advice and assistance, by handling requests courteously, promptly and effectively.
The purpose of the Publication Scheme is to make a significant amount of information available on a routine basis, without waiting for someone specifically to request it. Section 19 of the Act provides for the user of the Scheme to gain information about the Council’s performance, service delivery and decision making process.

A1 Housing Bassetlaw Ltd will be primarily responsible for the scheme, but some regulatory aspects of the work for the Council, such as Licensing and Planning matters will be the direct responsibility of particular Council committees.
