DECENT HOMES TENANT LIAISON OFFICERS

The role of a Tenant Liaison Officer is to provide information and support to A1 Housing tenants during all stages of the Decent Homes work. They will give advice and deal with any questions or complaints you have. All Tenant Liaison Officers will carry an identification badge, please ensure you ask to see this before allowing anyone to enter your home.

Bob Picksley – Senior T.L.O.

Bob Picksley Bob will be a familiar face to many tenants, having worked for over 10 years with the District Council and A1 Housing.

A dedicated Sheffield United fan and a keen fell walker Bob 57 said: "I find that if you are open, honest and fair then people will appreciate what you do. With experience of almost every area of construction work and housing management, I know I can balance customer service and quality control"

 

Dean Coates - T.L.O.

DeanDean is in fact the "new kid on the block" having been a T.L.O. for just over a year. However, having worked in the building repairs section of Bassetlaw District Council, A1 Housing for 23 years he's no novice. Married with two children, Dean still finds time to play the cornet in the Salvation Army Band and also enjoys watching "Sheffield's number one football team, The Wednesday"

Dean's personality and customer skills are self-evident when you meet him; his perception of being a TLO is "to treat all tenants the way that you yourself would like to be treated".

Shaun Nee – Senior T.L.O.

Shaun Nee

Shaun from Nottingham is a former Section Administration Officer working for Nottinghamshire Police. His role was to ensure the smooth running of a Support Services department based across 3 police stations in Nottingham City. He brings over 10 years experience of working with members of the public and enjoys the challenges that arise on a daily basis in his current role as Senior TLO.

He said: "I feel it is very important to have the link between tenants, contractors and the client. It is also important that the tenants are heard and are involved in the refurbishment of their properties and that they are dealt with in a professional manner at all times whilst ensuring customer satisfaction is met at all times".

 

Barbara Kendall – T.L.O.

Barbara Kendall Barbara from Worksop lives locally and has over 8 years experience in both public and private sector housing. Barbara enjoys meeting the variety of people associated with this type of work. When not at work, Barbara enjoys socialising with friends and family and likes to keep fit with Pilates.

She said: "I appreciate any input from partners and the client to help work progress smoothly and feel that our partnership with A1 Housing provides this".

 

Steve Pawlowski – T.L.O.

Steve Pawlowski

Steve from Mansfield lives in Edwinstowe, he is Ex Army (Queen's Royal Lancers) and worked for Mansfield Brewery for over 20 years. He has an interest in clay pigeon shooting and socialising. He is always learning and approaches all situations with an open mind.

He said; "I enjoy being a TLO as I like to meet all types of people. It is important to keep the links of communication between TLOs and tenants, TLOs and foremen including the operatives and sub-contractors. It is extremely important to keep a constant working link between Bullock and A1 (the Client).

Sue Demella - T.L.O.

Sue DemellaHello my name is Sue, I am from Plymouth, currently living in Barton upon Humber.  During my career over the past 25 years, I have gained vast experience in various customer focused roles.  For 14 years, I worked for a local government authority within several housing departments this enabled me to gain a wide general background knowledge in social housing.

My role as a TLO is to be informative and supportive through the cause and affect on customers living at home whilst their properties are refurbished.  It is very important to me that customers feel valued and that their quality of life, health and well being is respected throughout this process.

Simon Betts – T.L.O.

Simon BettsSimon is originally from Shirebrook; he has worked in retail for seven years before joining Connaught, he has 2 children.

Simon sees his roll as "to liaise with A1 Housing and our site team's to make the work go has easy as possible for the tenant"

 

 

Deborah Taylor – T.L.O.

Deborah Taylor"I first heard about Connaught when my own home was to be refurbished under the decent homes scheme way back in May 2005. By October of the same year I was working for Connaught as part of the Sheffield Decent Homes contract. Having had a personal insight into the works I felt my understanding of the disruption involved was sympathetic." 

"I'm a keen angler and have been fortunate to have had my picture in the anglers mail twice now. My ambition is too spend 3 months in Alaska watching, listening and studying the wolves in their own environment, failing that a trip to see the northern lights is second on my list."

 

Maria Stevenson – T.L.O.

Maria StevensonMaria has always worked with Customers, both in retail and for the last 3 years on many Contracts with Connaught Partnerships Ltd. She feel her role as a Liaison Officer is to "make sure every one of my Customers gets the very best I can offer in helping to prepare them for the work ahead and to offer support to them during and after the works.

Maria has experienced Decent Homes refurbishment works in her own home and fully understands the impact the work can have on people. Therefore she tries to do everything she can to make the Customers journey through the work goes as smoothly as possible. 

Amy Atherton

Amy Atherton"I have worked for Connaught Partnerships Ltd for nearly 2 and a half years, in the role of Liaison Officer. I have had the priviledge of working on many different sites, in and around the Midlands area. My role is to prepare, support the residents, and work as part of a close knit team, communicating at the highest of levels with residents, and our partners alike."

 

Vanessa Welch

Vanessa Welch"I am an experienced Liaison Officer who has worked for Connaught Partnerships Ltd for 6 years. I have worked on different sites in the Midlands and always enjoyed my work. During my career I have always worked in Customer Service roles and gained vast experience from working with the public. I have achieved the position of Team Leader and currently lead the liaison team at A1 Housing. I find the job very rewarding and satisfying."
