A1 Housing, working in partnership with Groundwork Creswell and SureStart, provide a comprehensive caretaking service that covers all A1 Housing estates and neighbourhoods.
Our caretakers are out and about come rain or shine, helping to keep your estates clean and tidy. They also assist Neighbourhood Housing Officers by reporting any issues of anti-social behaviour on all estates. Just some of their main duties include:
- Removing litter, dumped rubbish, furniture and general caretaking
- Opening, closing and preparation of A1's Community Centres
- Making minor repairs to estates and reporting major repairs
- Removing graffiti from A1 Housing managed areas.
Our target times for removing graffiti are:
Offensive graffiti - 24 hours
This is where graffiti is racially offensive, hostile to religious groups, sexually offensive or homophobic, explicit in terms of foul language, depicts or encourages a sexual or violent act or is defamatory.
All other graffiti - 5 working days
Anything that is not covered by the above. Please note that these timescales exclude weekends.
Bulky Rubbish Collection
A1 Housing also provides a chargeable collection service for bulky household items such as sofas, fridges, mattresses, etc. This is available to all A1 Housing tenants across Bassetlaw. For more information, click here
Flytipped Rubbish
If you report flytipped rubbish to us that has been dumped on A1 managed areas we aim to remove it within 5 working days.
NB: We will aim to remove within 24 hours any flytipped rubbish that may cause a health and safety risk (i.e. needles, and syringes)
