The Annual leaseholders Consultation Events were held in late February with everyone who attended contributing to informative and interesting events. Summary of the meetings.

Consultation Event February 2009

The annual Leaseholder Consultation Event was held at Worksop and Retford in February 2009. Although this event was well publicised and in addition each leaseholder receiving an invitation, only one leaseholder attended! This was very disappointing, and prompted the questions of, is our current methods of communication and consultation satisfactory and do leaseholders think the annual consultation event should continue?

A questionnaire was sent to all 155 leaseholders in May that asked those questions. We received 29 completed questionnaires. The graph below indicates the results. The conclusion was that the methods of communication and consulting with leaseholders are satisfactory and that leaseholders still wanted the annual consultation event to continue. However, we have decided that only one venue will be used each year (this will be more economical) and because more returned questionnaires were received from the Worksop area, next years event will be in Worksop with the following years in Retford. Lets hope that more leaseholders attend and voice their views.

We are currently reviewing and looking to up date leases. New leases will include anti social behaviour and gas servicing clauses. They will also be rewritten in an updated and modern style. However the clauses are not retrospective to current leases only newly issued ones.
