Bassetlaw

The district of Bassetlaw is situated in North Nottinghamshire at the crossroads of England between Yorkshire, Lincolnshire and Derbyshire.  The housing stock consists of nearly 7,000 properties.

A1 Housing

A1 Housing manages the  properties on behalf of   Bassetlaw District Council.  We are an Arm's Length Management Organisation (ALMO). Following an inspection in May 2009, we have attained the Customer Service Excellence Standard.  We have also won the 'Most Improved Performer Building Maintenance 2007-08' award from the Association of Public Service Excellence.

Bassetlaw and the environment

Bassetlaw is committed to providing renewable energy to 20% of our housing stock by 2020, so this year (2009 /10)  we are installing Ground Source heating at 91 properties.  This advanced technology uses solar energy naturally stored in the ground to provide fully-controllable heating and hot water systems which are cheap to run and environmentally friendly.
